How location tracking works
When you enable location tracking, Insights can collect background GPS data so your visits, movement patterns, and recurring places become part of your timeline. This gives the app place context for the rest of your tracking history, which is especially useful when routines and environments affect how you feel.
What you can see
The Places view is organized into Map, List, and Insights tabs. Map helps you see where you spend time. List helps you review recognized places and visit patterns. Insights highlights the places that appear to correlate with changes in other tracked signals. Place impact cards summarize those patterns so you can quickly see whether a location tends to line up with better or worse sleep, energy, mood, or other outcomes.
Turn it on or off anytime
Location tracking is optional. You can enable it if place context is useful to you, or disable it if you do not want continuous background collection. The app works without it, but location-aware insights will be limited when the feature is off.
Privacy
Your location data stays in your account and is not shared for advertising or sold to third parties. The purpose of the feature is personal pattern discovery, not behavioral profiling.
